Im a junior and I have a 3.90 weighted gpa so far. I have a very tough curriculum and I go to a jesuit private school. I have about 4 or 5 major extracurriculars and Ive volunteered at a couple of hospitals because i am interested in doing medicine. Im planning on getting a 34 on the ACT and a 2000 or above on the SAT.

Do you think I can get in???

More statistical information required to make a logical approximation.

Stats alone don’t make the decision. Your essays and interview will figure prominently, as well. Have you ever taken the ACT or SAT?

What does the interview consist of? What kind of questions are you presented with?

The interview is primarily just about you. In my interview, I was asked about my family background, standardized testing scores, extra-curricular activities, etc. It is really just a repeat of the application if the person interviewing knows nothing about you. She didn’t look at my application, but she had to get to know me from the very beginning and why I wanted to go to Harvard. There’s really nothing to it, and the key point is to make sure that you are yourself and try not to present yourself as something that you think they would like to see. Most times they can sense when you are doing that. My best word of advice is to just go and be confident. You’re just being given a chance to say more than what’s on your application and give them a bit more information on why you stand out more than anyone else.
