Eligibility
Consideration is given to academic achievement in a college preparatory curriculum within the context of a student’s academic environment. Additional factors for selection include, but are not limited to, leadership, community service, and special talents. To be considered for the scholarships listed, students must achieve a combined SAT Math and Critical Reading score of at least 1300 with a test score of at least 600 in each of these components or a composite ACT score of at least 30 with a test score of at least 27 in Math and English. Student must take the writing component of the SAT and/or ACT in order for test score to be considered.

Eligibility
Consideration is given to academic achievement in a college preparatory curriculum within the context of a student’s academic environment. Additional factors for selection include, but are not limited to, leadership, community service, special talents, first generation college status, and academic achievement under difficult circumstances. There is no minimum SAT or ACT score to be considered for these awards.
Opportunity Award
The Opportunity Award is designed to provide scholarships for first year freshmen with outstanding high school records. Selection is based on an applicant’s high school academic record, character, activities, leadership ability, SAT or ACT scores and, in some cases, evidence of financial need. Stipends for these awards generally range from $100 to $12,500 per year. Out-of-state students may be eligible to receive a non-resident tuition waiver after receiving a competitive scholarship of $1,000 or more from Texas A&M University.
Eligibility
You must be an entering freshman who has not attended another college or university.
You must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for need-based awards.

Craig and Galen Brown Scholarship
Approximately fifteen to twenty nominees from a pool of applicants who receive the President’s Endowed Scholarships may earn privately awarded stipends in addition to the President’s Endowed Scholarship, which in some cases covers the full cost of tuition, fees, room and board. Scholarship decisions are made by the Craig and Galen Brown Foundation. Applicants are notified within first 2 weeks of December if they are being considered. Preference is given to Engineering, Business, Science, Agriculture and Life Sciences, and Liberal Arts applicants. Visit brownfound.org for more information.
Eligibility
Students who meet the following criteria may compete for the above scholarships:
Recognized as National Merit Semifinalist
U.S. Citizen, permanent resident, or graduate of an accredited U.S. high school in Spring 2016.
Enrollment in the Fall 2015 freshman class at Texas A&M University.
A minimum 1300 SAT I composite score (critical reading + math, with respective scores of 600 in each) or 30 ACT composite (English + Math, with scores of at least 27)
Complete application, including supporting documents received by December 1, 2015. Applicants who meet the above criteria are encouraged to have 2 letters of recommendation readily available on file through their Admissions documents if they meet eligibility requirements for consideration.
