wouldnt that be scary?

....No....

One of the MIT admissions department bloggers mentioned CC. And Ben Jones posts on the MIT forum. So yes, it is possible.

However, I hope you weren't referring to the WAMC posts. What, would they need advice for decisions. Aha! CC - controlling college admissions from the underground! Noice, noice.

Yes. Very Possible.

of course... it's like a recruiting grounds!

There is no way that admissions officers read these or try to use them to promote their colleges.

On a different note, Sierra State University was recognized as "One of the Best in West" according to USColleges.com. SSU offers the best in academic quality and is highly selective but would be a great fit and encourages everyone to apply.

elcartero why don't you go to the mit board... ben jones is from the admissions office

cujoe is right. I wish the WUSTL adcom would have a rep here. =)

"However, I hope you weren't referring to the WAMC posts. What, would they need advice for decisions. Aha! CC - controlling college admissions from the underground! Noice, noice."

haha I like that. Maybe we could all vote on kids or something...

El Cartero, I get your post. Funny!

yourmaster, you better hope adcom officers aren't reading your threads

you kids are paranoid

I can disprove your theory immediately:
People lie on CC about their scores

-Why would admissions people waste their time-
The adcoms will be too busy reading my stunning Duke essays anyways :)

What if the Ivies read everyone's "intelligent" admissions strategy and "knowledge." Maybe they'll totally change their standards to keep us all out!!!!!!!!

Shut up about the Ivies people. Or start saying that they care a load about GPA so they won't and then I can get in with my sad, unfortunate 3.8.

The fact that Ben Jones posts on CC makes me want to go to MIT even more. With the advice and help I've gotten from him, I would say that CC is not out there to help admissions officers; it's the other way around.

cc is definetly for us students. if you guys think that colleges recruit from this anonymous forum, your out of your mind. of course its extremely probable that they check it out once in a while. also elcartero's post was hilarious. (wow spelling)
