I just got into the University of Michigan early action, and I’m wondering if my admission could be rescinded due to a slip in my grades. In years past I got one B every year and the rest were all A’s so my gpa was 3.93. But now I think I’m going to get 4 A’s, a B in AP Calc AB, and a C in AP Comp Sci. I have never gotten a C before, but Comp Sci really doesn’t make sense to me and I just can’t seem to make the grade. Do you think my admission could be rescinded or am I overreacting?
As long as it doesn’t drop below a c under any circumstances. You should be fine. It’s not the end of the world but not ideal so keep working. It’s very easy to get distracted last semester. Do not do that now after all of the hard work. You’re on the five yard line and don’t fumble now.
A b- would be a complete non issue. That would be my target.
You’ll be fine, but don’t get your grades any lower! A general rule of thumb is to not get scores below a C.
