My aid was disbursed on Tuesday and shows as a refund as of today, Friday. Could the money be in my account tomorrow, Saturday, or do banks not initiate deposit transactions on Saturdays?
This is totally bank dependent and also on exactly when this transaction took place.
Why don’t you just check you bank balance online tomorrow and see.

No. Just curious. In prior spring semesters, my aid office always disburses on New Years Day, it shows as a refund on the 2nd, then is always deposited on the 4th, but they didn’t disburse until the 2nd this semester and my refund appeared today, so I wasn’t sure I felt it would deposit tomorrow, because the deposit has always hit my bank account the day after it shows as a refund, so I was just wondering. Can you see ACH pending amounts on your account? I could, and it would tell me which day it would be deposited.
But to answer your question, yes, banks can process transactions any day they want, including weekends and holidays.
