Hey there. I was wondering if anyone could be kind enough to take the time to grade and give me feedback on my practice SAT essay. This would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance. :)

Essay Prompt:
A colleague of the great scientist James Watson remarked that Watson was always “lounging around, arguing about problems instead of doing experiments.” He concluded that “There is more than one way of doing good science.” It was Watson’s form of idleness, the scientist went on to say, that allowed him to solve “the greatest of all biological problems: the discovery of the structure of DNA.” It is a point worth remembering in a society overly concerned with efficiency.

Assignment:
Do people accomplish more when they are allowed to do things in their own way? Plan and write an essay in which you develop your point of view on this issue. Support your position with reasoning and examples taken from your reading, studies, experience, or observations.

My Essay:
"Do people accomplish more when they are allowed to do things in their own way?" suggests that people that complete tasks in a creative and individualized way are more successful. In other words, people are able to develop a greater change or impact on society when they are allowed to let their creative juices flow. In my opinion, if people are not restricted on how they go about completing a task the world that we live in would be more innovative and creative. Throughout society and in life, the evidence to prove my viewpoint is pervasive.

Take for example the famous painter Xian Jong Sao from South Korea. He was unable to express himself for many years due to the oppressive society that he lived in. He was prohibited to paint anything besides glorifying propaganda pictures of his leader. Once he fled South Korea at the age of eighteen he was able to paint portraits of landscapes and was finally able to express himself. Due to this he was able to gain fame and forget his dark and gloomy past. As you can see, Sao was able to accomplish more as an artist when his self expression was released from bondage.
Look at Jamie Clarkson, the Canadian computer designer. She first started her work designing computers for a company called Computer Chippy Hippy. There she was under strict regulation as to which RAM she could place within the computer she was creating. After she was fired from the company because she did not comply with their strict regulations, she created her own company. Her company thus became the first computer design company to create as computer with two thousand gigabytes of RAM. Jamie's productivity was able to soar once she was allowed to do things her own way.
My final vivid example is from the book "White Lies" by Amy Graham. In this vivid autobiography Amy discusses how while living with her abusive and controlling husband she was unable to express herself. After her husband left her for another woman, and Amy was finally free she was than able to follow her passion of becoming a fashion designer and was finally allowed to do things her own way. Amy was allowed to unleash her creativity and show the world what she could do once left to her own devices.
Clearly the examples above show that when people are allowed to do what they desire and complete a task the way they choose, the results are astronomical. Look at Sao, who was finally allowed to release he creativity after living in oppression. Also take note of Jamie, who once given her freedom to create computers in the way that she chose was able to start her own company. Only when people are allowed to do things their own way are they able to become truly inspired.
