<p>After a lot of fussing about the "forwarded" status on this board (myself very much included) it seems we have come close to concluding that if there is any meaning we can conclude from the subset of us that have this forwarded status, it evades us.</p>
<p>Could it perhaps just be alphabetical. As the phrasing makes it sounds as if they've basically just opened our folders, maybe it is simply based on last name.</p>
<p>My last name begins with a B.</p>
<p>My last name is Abb, first in my school and I just got forwarded a week ago</p>
<p>My last name starts with Abe, and I have the "We have received the grades that we have requested… you will hear back from us by April 1st …</p>
<p>btw I am the first at my school too! I have never met a person with a last name higher then mine! haha</p>
<p>I got forwarded a couple of weeks ago and my last nam begins with a Z. I’m thinking it might be by the schools (Marshall, etc.) we applied to.</p>
<p>I’ve had it for about a month now and my last name starts with “R”</p>
<p>Well there go Z and R to ruin my hypothesis! I don’t really think it is by school, because all the schools kind of work simultaneously.</p>
<p>Just to clarify, what schools did you all apply to?</p>
<p>My son has “forwarded” about a month and he’s applying to Viterbi for engineering.</p>
<p>I think it could have a lot to do with what school everyone applied to because SCA applicants are generally the last to hear.</p>
<p>I have forwarded and I applied to CLAS. My last name starts with B but i don’t think it has anything to do with alphabetical. The common theme for the people with forwarded seems to be people that applied before Dec 1st.</p>
<p>I applied before Dec 1st but I’m not forwarded. 
But I’m also an SCA applicant… I have a feeling it’s a combination of application date/school or any other number of things. Or completely random.</p>

<p>So far everyone I’ve asked in the SCA thread has confirmed that they have the same fall grades status… so I think it’s very likely that they’re doing it by school.</p>

<p>^same. Only mine starts with H. Look can we just all agree that the alphabetical theory is likely false?</p>
<p>What about Annenberg? have you heard about anyone with a forwarded status or anyone who got in who applied?</p>
<p>I heard the status message is just set and changed by your state admission rep. I’m in Arizona and have stayed at the same message the whole time (your status is currently being reviewed). This seems possible because the state rep is the first to look over your app and introduce it to the committee, so some might change it when they pass it on and some might not? Post your states and messages to see if this could be true.</p>
