I'm applying to the college of management which i believe is not as tough as the engineering college. I'm so anxious waiting for the decision. Do you think there is any reason that I will be rejected? Thank you for your input

bump :( anyone?

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I also applied there and got my acceptance letter in December. (I'm enrolling.) I know plenty of kids at school with stats similar to or lower than yours who've been accepted. What part of GA are you in? I live in Marietta (East Cobb area).

Hi gadgetguy08, thank you for your input. I used to lived in Gwinnett county and go to Duluth High School. But I moved to South GA, Lowndes county.
May I know your stats, if you don't mind?
Nice to meet you.

nice stats, no wonder why you got in. Looking forward to seeing next year ;)

If I were you, I wouldn't worry.

1.) You have leadership skills,
plus your SATs are good, save for CR, but from what I hear
Tech really only focuses on Math, so you're good there.

2.) You're from GA

From what I know, it appears as if Tech accepts a good 2/3
of the applicant pool, but then fails them the hell out during
the popular 'weed-out' classes.

hi PcEhAoCsE. I can just say thank you so much for your consoling. Are you attending Tech? What do you think about the quality of education and graduates' lives? If possible, could you please explain a little bit more to me about "but then fails them the hell out during the popular 'weed-out' classes." Thank you again.

I currently am a Sophomore at Tech. As for the quality of education, I will say it definitely is better off than most schools and colleges. Many students here are able to obtain a full-time job position up to a year before their scheduled graduate time. I'm not exactly sure of the graduates' lives, but I do see them from time to time and they can be easily pointed out by their behavior. As for what I know, it seems as if Georgia Tech accepts people who are on par with Ivy Leagues, those who fit in the mold of Tech, and those who they are not quite sure about. The 'weed-out' classes are named thus as they are the main reason why students either transfer out of the school or switch majors.

But I re-read your post, and saw that you were applying to the school of management. As such, I'm not exactly sure as I have very few friends in that school, but it appears as if it's extremely easy, as many students who fail out of the weed-out classes 'catch the M-Train.' This is not to say the quality of education in the School of Management is bad, by no means no. It definitely is going up every single year.

It's good to hear from a Tech student like you. I heard from many people too, that college of Management is somewhat easier than engineering and others. Are you offered any job or work-study program or maybe a off-campus job? I will need a job as a freshman. How about internship? Do you think those kinda jobs are available to freshman?

What does your application status say? "Application Complete"?

Mines says "in process"

Feez, when did you apply for Tech?

I applied near the end of December.

oh ok, may I ask what are your stats?

my application is completed. It's been confirmed and reviewed.
