Counselor in Delhi??

Keith: You happened to come across this forum, and then this thread, and then the post about counselors? That too, coincidentally, a few hours after another first-poster recommended Seth?

First and foremost, if you indeed are real, Congratulations on getting into UIUC! You have worked hard, and rightfully deserve a spot in the Class of 2014.

Secondly, you really need to revamp your attitude my friend. Although it’s not that difficult to make out that you are completely unsatisfied with the kind of attention and guidance you have received, it looks very vindictive of you to come out to a public forum, name someone and start maligning her.

Yes, she did not have answers to many questions I asked her. Yes, I did have to intervene sometimes when she was speaking. But, does all of this make her useless? No, because she was there for you all throughout the process. She was there for you when you were late in filling out forms. She was there for you when you had to get self-drafted LORs signed. And last and but certainly not the least, she was there for you when you felt low and dejected. With her smile and noble heart, she helped up your spirits.

You might argue with what I have written in the prior paragraph. In fact, I am sure that you will. But, let me tell you that this is how the system is in our country. It is not possible for the counselor to befriend every child in the school. I, in fact, believe that it is the student’s responsibility to increase his/her interaction with the counselor so that their frequencies start matching by the time the application season arrives.

As for the dearth of knowledge regarding universities, no one, I say no one, will ever have information about every university in the US. It is your job to bring together data from different websites. Calling each university individually and sorting out doubts is the best way to move forward, in my opinion. If you cannot even do this much on your own, I honestly doubt your devotion and dedication.

I did not hire any counselor right through my application process. From visiting university websites to drafting LORs, and from shortlisting universities to writing essays, I did everything on my own. I am not boasting. In actuality, I want to make it clear that it is indeed possible.

Once again, I feel that it is very unethical of you to name someone on a public forum and start criticizing her. I will be happy to brush away your other concerns as well, although, to be honest, I still doubt your authenticity!

It is very evident that the counsellor we are talking about (or maybe his assistant) is writing all this. Three first time posters write their first post praising this guy. Sorry Mr., but we are not that dumb.

Seriously guys, we need to leave this thread.

Yup, let it die its natural death!

I won’t deny Arjun pointed this thread out - However, he didn’t ask me (And I doubt he asked anyone else) to post anything for or against him.

@harvard, while you have some valid points, I don’t (or didn’t) go to a counselor looking for a friend, or someone to hold my hand - I already have friends for that. I went looking for information, which she was not able to provide. In that aspect at least I found her useless. Hence, when someone mentioned talking to a school counselor, I was just relating my experience with school counselors. In the same way, I mentioned that I had hired Arjun Seth and found him useful. That’s all. I’m not exactly leading an internet ■■■■■/flame campaign against Astha Bajaj.

If arjun pointed the thread out to you it is pretty obvious that you have some form of association with him.

lol, at least this proves how much Arjun DOES stalk us! XD

I think we can move on now. I don’t know what Mr. Arjun expected to accomplish by pointing out this thread to so many of his clients, or by possibly making those posts. It wasn’t a good idea, we’ve established that.

I agree. This thread is sort of turning into a smear campaign and should finish now.

@Keith: Please check the response to your PM!

@aniruddhc - obviously I have some association with him, I’m a student of his.

The person(OP) makes a post. Someone replies with a satisfactory answer. The OP is satisfied and too lazy to reply any further. ‘Summoning’ takes place.

I can assist. Contact me on vridhi at gmail dot com

Hey About DPS RKP’s Mamta Sharma… She can only help you if you study in that school. And also about 200-250 or maybe MORE students go abroad from dps rkp every year. The passing out class of 2011 for example had 800 students (in 22 section… like from section A to V) And in that about half the kids apply abroad roughly… so you can guess how many of them get accepted and go abroad.

Anway I would suggest instead of a counsellor everyone should go for the process themselves as being with one really binds you down! You just throw too much of yourself depending on someone else. School counsellors are important though as they have to sign your application! But otherwise I would say the internet and someone who has already applied earlier (preferably someone who applied just an year ago) would be great help!!

Is Jamboree’s admission counselling considered worthy for Jaipurites?
