So i have no idea what the difference between these two are...I have not seen a counselor recommendation form for ANY of the schools I'm applying to, maybe I'm not looking hard enough? So I basically only submitted the secondary school report form (our school has our own, overview of student, not much actual "letters of recommendation").

So i'm just wondering is there a difference, and if there is, are there any counselor recommendation forms for these schools I'm applying to:
UMD - College park
UMBC - Baltimore county
Penn State
UNC - Chapel Hill
Michigan (common app)
Carnegie Mellon (common app)
Boston University (common app)
Purdue
Illinois

THANKS IN ADVANCE.!

On the common app, the school report form is the counselor rec. They are one and the same.

^Thanks. What about for other schools?

Illinois doesn’t have a counselor or teacher LOR. Just have the GCr send the student’s transcript.

Purdue has a counselor form, here’s the link:
http://www.purdue.edu/Admissions/Undergrad/documents/Guidance%20counselor%20form.pdf

Penn State has this on their UG admissions website:

As part of your online application, we will ask you to print out a counselor form. You should take this form to your high school counselor to complete and send to us along with your official high school transcript.

UNC-CH’s counselor form is here:
http://admissions.unc.edu/pdf/UNC-CH_Counselor_Statement.pdf

Don’t know about the others. Good luck!

Uhh…our school has our OWN forms that they submit instead of the schools secondary school report form. So I should be good to go…right?

Usually schools that have their own forms will enclose them along with the school forms. That’s fine.
