^^Wow. That will make things interesting. Any predictions on if/how selectivity will be affected? 2005 average GPA= 4.05; average SAT=1305. I wonder if this will go up, if so how much. Selectivity at UF is creeping up to that at UNC and UVa. Now if UF could only reduce class sizes, we'd really be in the running for the top 20.

^ UF's Administrators have promised that the money generated from Tuition Differential will be strictly applied to lowering Class-Sizes & providing more Advisors.

Based on UF's enrollment this extra revenue will generate $70 million and it will help bring in an addition 200 faculty.

Hopefully. I wonder what the overall impact on "average class size" will be. In a school that large. I was astonished to find that in my frosh's first semester, there were 2,000 students taking Chem I (all sections). 2,000 students! No wonder there are umpteen sections and hundreds of students per class.

I might add as a graduate of UNC-CH, that there were just as many obscenely large lecture hall classes as my kids experience at UF. It seems like no one talks about it in CH, though. Everything there is just blue skies and sunshine.

"I'm planning to major in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations and minor in either Arabic or French." .........

That's EXACTLY what I wanna do @ UF. But my minor is def. French.

Sixteen, count them...16...days left! :)

AHHHHH....crazy. It's coming so soon! Pretty soon the number of days remaining will be in the single digits.

Someone should start a countdown group on facebook or something, so we don't have to go through this all alone. Haha.

Haha, no joke. So I took you up on that, and here...

Prospective Gators for Class of '12

Almost 15 days now...!!

Yay, I joined!

Want to be an officer? You did throw out the idea... =)

I'm OOS. Which means I am super worried. :P If I don't get in, then sigh, the world has come to an end... Okay, not really, but... I can always be a member of the Prospective Gators for Class of '12 group, even if I don't get in, and pretend I am a Gator. That's cool, right? :P

Sure I'll be an officer! Haha, I hope you get in, and it's cool anyways. Haha....I'm going to add you on facebook.

"How do you know this person?" lol. :P I hope you get in as well. :D I've heard back from all but 2 of my 9 colleges, UF, of course, being one of them. This wait is killlling me. Soon enough though! Do you have any title in mind for your officer-ness? Haha!

Yeah....I heard back from 2 of my 3 colleges. :-) AND I applied to UF way back in the beginning of July.
I don't have a title in mind, really. Make something up.

awsome i'm in too =)

Haha yay! There are only 3 people in the group and they're all on this forum.

Haha, yeah. :) I would invite people, but I don't know of anyone at my school who wants to go to UF. Such a shame. :( But we have 5 people now. ^_^

Hooray! It's growing.
:-)

10 days left!!!!!! Eek!

9 days to go, except if it does come out at 5:15 then I will be at work which is like the worst thing.
