ash.

I thought that Rice responds to interim decision candidates by Feb 10th, not the 1st like mentioned in the first post.

its the 1st according to the website and all other sources ive seen

I know how nervous you guys must feel! I'm so excited to see how everything turned out. :)

oh no i just looked on the website and it says the tenth! i could have SWORN it was the first! im so confused!

Yeah, because I originally was going to apply ID and then I realized I couldn't wait that long! Are you sure that it said the 10th? I was under the impression that it was Feb. 1 when decisions come out.

EDIT: Just checked the site. (http://www.futureowls.rice.edu/futureowls/Admission_and_Financial_Aid_Calendar.asp?SnID=1883841462)

"Interim Decision Plan

The Interim Decision Plan is designed for students who want a decision earlier than April 1 and are considering other universities as well as Rice. Your application must be postmarked by December 1, and we will notify you by February 10. Again, three decisions are possible under this plan: accept, defer, or deny. If you are admitted, you will have until May 1 to pay your deposit. "

WE WILL NOTIFY YOU BY* FEBRUARY 10!

indeed. tis feb 10...can YOU wait that long??? lol.

I'm not at all nervous. I haven't the slightest clue if Ill get in or not, but im not gonna worry about it. I worried and fretted for my early school, but it only made things worse when I got my deferral. Guys, take it easy and let the letter come as a surprise, hopefully a very pleasant one.

does anyone know if it comes in a thick/thin envelope for ID?

Does anyone know what happens if you apply ID, but your app is incomplete? Do you just go to Regular Decision? I checked the status of my application, and apparently they don't have my teacher recommendation. And worst of all, my teacher is out for an unknown amount of time due to heart problems.

Counting down as well. oh the suspense! is anyone else here OOS? is it much easier to be OOS? arghhhhhhh it is so hard to wait. does rice send likely letters?

edit: stupidestofthesmart is from MD...so there's one. btw i like your sn....and i am also wondering what the envelope will look like!!! This is my first decision that's not from a state school or from Baylor. First big admissions decision.

how do you check the status of your application?

nvm. I found the email. nervous

i believe it does go straight to RD
but just to be sure, call and ask
