<p>I talked to the Financial Aid office this morning ref financial packages with the ID results next week. He told me that financial packages would not come with the ID letters. Most people do not have their final taxes done. They want all tax info to their office by 1 Mar, but admitted they were even flexible on that date. He said that final financial packages would not arrive until April. </p>
<p>Now what I don't know and didn't think to ask, was if any merit aid would come with the ID results.</p>
<p>Yes, Lukester, if you're getting merit aid, it will arrive in the same folder where your admittance letter and other Rice info is included. And yes, financial information comes later, after Rice has all your tax info.</p>

<p>i have been rereading Rice material. Is the admittance sent on Feb. 10 in the mail or is notification received by the 10th of Feb? I am confused and frustrated, so someone please help.</p>
<p>It's usually sent out a day or two before February 10th. Last year people in Texas received their letters on February 8th, and I received mine in Chicago on February 9th. If by February 10th you haven't received any word by mail, your admission status should be posted online. However, if you check the online notification site starting about February 8th, there's a chance your status may be up. Last year's stats went up late due to server errors, I'm told, but hopefully that won't be an issue this year.</p>

<p>Both. Emailed on the 10th and when I called, they said, "Most likely mailed on the 6th or 7th."</p>
