I didn't notice anything this morning, but then again, I wasn't really looking for anything...darn snow.

I didn't see anything for 8 today....

On another note, General Desjardins called our squad comm into her office to inform him that 10's spirit mission was the best she's seen thus far. :) yay!

i saw a couple of balls on the side of spirit hill. hard to tell what it was, and it was pretty small

Daily Blog by US Air Force Academy Cadet

^ this is a post on the blog on another thread, looks like a big "8 Ball"... ;)

That was much earlier in the year.

oh, wasnt sure, he posted it today and it just said 8's spirit mission, my apologies... ;)

That was actually at Acceptance Day if I'm not mistaken.

Absolutely correct PETKO...Potter and the rest of Eagle Eight had their AOC called in at 2 a.m. becuase Security Forces wanted to charge them with destruction of government property.

Ahh yes, SF and spirit missions usually don't mix very well.

Rule 1: Don't be stupid
Rule 2: Don't destroy valuable stuff (for further explanation, see rule 1)
Rule 3: Don't get caught...and if you do (again refer to #1), face the music.

;) :)

Yeah, last year, CS-28 painted one of the static planes red. Not a good idea. SF showed up and they ran away. My friend also said that General Regni would have made an amazing announcement for them during noon meal but he was too angry to do anything for their squad.

um, who did you here that from? cause that's completely false.

first, CS-28 painted the F-4 black with a yellow nose (blackbird) on night 28, finished it, and cleaned it the next day.

earlier in the year, CS-11 tried to paint the 16 red, but got caught after a couple minutes. they did not run away, but got caught, cleaned it immediately (around 3 am), and that was that.

no one got in huge trouble either way, although both times the participants got talked to.

don't know who your friend is, but they need to get their facts straight (I was in 28 and was there, and one of my top friends did the 11 one.)

Bottom line, make sure you get your spirit missions approved or that they don't destroy property. :P

...none of you 2012ers will have to worry about that for a while though. It's risky and pretty hard to do any Spirit Missions during BCT. It's usually better to wait till the academic year (there are some exceptions that I can think of though).

Kind of funny. 2011 Recognition is the same dates as the FIRST Robotics competition in GA. I'm looking forward to FIRST probably as much as you all are looking forward to Recognition. Good luck 2011!

Haha, I did FIRST as well, but I'm looking forward to Recognition waaaaaay more than I ever looked forward to any robotics competition.

Thanks for the well wishes. :)

Less than 5 days until the start of Recognition training...and 12 days until the start of Spring Break. See you on the other side 2011.

Thanks... :)

Just a heads up, all of us 4-digs (2011) will be dropping out of contact from Thursday night through Saturday night this week.

But us 2010s won't! Plenty of fun times we can share during 2011's pain. :) :) :)

I really didn't understand the significance of this when reading these boards a year ago...but you could really feel the "high" when Hornetguy, G4C and others reappeared.

In essence, they're starting to prepare for 2012, with the only countdown remaining - days to graduation...and for 2012...I-day.
