<p>Oooh that's not as depressing. :D I mean, any amount of time is depressing but still. 18 is a heck of a lot easier to swallow than 212!!</p>
<p>It amazes me how excited you guys are...I was excited to be an eighth grader at this time. Just the idea of being at the top of a school of 10 different grades was pretty awesome to me. I understand that you guys are happy to be applying to high schools, I was too! But appreciate being in middle school while you can! It's a great time for transitioning.</p>
<p>I am applying to:
Exeter, Andover, SPS, Kent, Deerfield, Choate, Groton, Portsmouth, Culver and Lawrenceville. </p>
<p>I am eliminating one after visit days. I am visiting only 5 schools and have been talking to current students of almost every school.
I am hoping to get accepted to Exeter, Andover, Kent and SPS.(My top choices in order)</p>
<p>Very pumped, I am doing interviews on fall break so October 20th-28th.(Approximately) IF you want to be my tour guide give me a shout out(Already have Kent and Exeter covered)</p>
<p>I am waiting for some of the booklets from schools to come. Exeter, Andover and Kent's have not arrived.(I want to see those badly)</p>
<p>Actually, I am trying to spend all of my "Bottled energy" on SSAT prep and Working Out. Been doing alot of SSAT prep(Trying to get about 1,200 words into my mind down cold).
I am just focusing on getting amazing SSAT scores and AP Exam scores right now... Plus doing well during the school year in everyway :).</p>

because high school feels different =/
i started freshman year a few days ago and i made so many new friends (we're a small private school, but we accepted a lot of kids now, and not just the generic spaz)</p>
<p>of course, reality will always hit you. and coursework is deafeningly loud in your little mental agenda. and extra curriculars will kill you to some extent. and so will commitments of any kind. and sports. and teachers. and classes. and expectations to get straight A's.
you know. all that jazz :)</p>
<p>I absolutely loved eighth grade.
But I'm looking forward for high school here and then boarding school for sophomore year (:</p>
<p>intrigue: same here. I can get a lot out of my tiny public school, two honors classes and a tech class and a studio art class, our drama and band productions, private (free!) lessons for my oboe (with a guy who doesn't play oboe... But whatever), and my friends and family. But I am looking forward to applying and hopefully getting in so much that it's even freaking out my mom!!</p>

I am OFFICIALLY applying to Exeter, Andover, and Choate. NMH because they only offer Monday-Friday interviews, and we have no clue what week days are free (my mom's a teacher and i am obviously a student). So that'll be scheduled once school starts.
But now... November for Choate and December for Exeter and Andover!! Yay yay yay!</p>

<p>bleh. it happened to me. i figured out today. i inquired a month ago.</p>
<p>I got my viewbook but no applications yet, because... I don't know. Exeter and I think andover?? said they'll be sending them within the next few weeks... I'm filling out Choate's forms online, though.</p>
<p>I got my SPS forms in the mail today!
Now I'm waiting on Andover, Exeter, and Hotchkiss...</p>
<p>I've begun work on my essays... Actually, I started it like 5 days ago but I have a final-ish draft!
Anyone want to critique it, or is that not allowed? (My friend called it bonerific, hehe).
I've also started Choate's app forms online. And TRIED to register for the SSAT online but.... I didn't write down the Web Login code when the screen came up. So now I don't have it. I emailed them, like, twice... And requested the code be sent to my email a million times.
And I still have no code!!!</p>

<p>When I called Choate to schedule an interview (squee!!) my mom spelled out my name... And the lady thought it started with a Z, not a V. So we spent practically 15 minutes figuring out WHY they didn't have my inquiry form info! I was panicking a tad bit.</p>
