Countdown to Acceptance Letters

It's going on a year and a month.

ONE MORE MONTH (31 days!!!!!!) don't you just love how February is really short? Also, even though it seems like a really long time to us, these admissions officers are getting through ALL the applications in only a little over a month. If you think about it, people are just posting how their materials have been processed. to get through thousands and thousands of apps in that amount of time...that takes skill.

Or a very large workforce. According to Exeter's admissions office, they have people just to open mail for them.

wow.......

Yarr, I dyed my hair blonde again (after dying it red for 3 months) and it looks ridiculously unlike my old, natural hair... Stupid hairdressers. :P Oh well.

i could never dye my hair. I've always wanted to but i never had the guts. the one thing I never have the guts to mess with is my hair

Well, I have the amazing ability to perfectly own anything done to my hair. Like, if it's done and I don't like it, I might as well present myself as completely confident in it.
That's sarcasm, haha. But I did learn that I could keep a lot of people off my back about stupid decisions if I just looked like I was perfectly happy with it. Like, I cut almost all my hair off once. Everyone picked on me but as long as I didn't show I hated it, it kept the worst away from me.

eh I don't really care what other people think about my hair. it is mostly just that i don't really like to change things drastically, it scares me. I really want to do something with it though, maybe i'll get highlights or something.

Cut it all off! Dye it purple!
LIBERATE YOURSELF!
It's really fun :D

If this was a perfect world I would totally do it ;) My mom would murder me, though, if i even thought of doing that. Seriously she would go totally AWOL

I'm naturally blonde and have always wanted to dye my hair brunette, but my mother would freak out. I'm really ready for some sort of drastic change in appearance, but my mom would totally not allow it.

I loved red hair, and I can't wait until my natural blonde comes back- this dyed blonde kind of sucks, and is nothing like my actual color. But whatever!
If it isn't back by July, I'm going red or something else crazy, for boarding school. I'm not going as some valley-girl-bleach-blonde-look-a-like, because I'm nothing like that. It's either my honey-blonde, or red. This in between, ash-blonde-mixed-with-brown color is SO not doing it for me.

I'm giving it a month or two before I see how it's going, then I'm back in the stylist's chair.

What schools are you applying to Saer? If we both get in I'm goona see this girl w/ flaming red hair and be like "OMG its Saer from College Confidential!"

Haha, Choate (top choice), Exeter, Andover, NMH. It might be blonde then, but if you see red or purple IT'S MEEEE.

ya that would be awesome!

I just cut off a HUGE chuck of my (long and luscious:)) hair! AHH!! I can't believe how short it is, although I really like it. I'm donating the remains to Locks of Love.

30 days!!!! (we're almost in the 20's!!!!!!!)

That's awesome! I did that in like 4th grade, cut my hair really short and donated the rest.

we should try to get this thread to be the longest in CC history! I think that come March 11, we should start counting down again...for the 2010 decisions.

I wonder if they lock it after a certain point?
Either that, or counting down to when we all leave!!
