was a team-leader while working with the Suzanne Mubarak Women’s International Movement for peace during years 2008- 2010.Also ,i was a member of the 16 youngest people in Egypt to become active trainers.
*Following the 25th of JAN revolution in Egypt, I have taken an increasing interest in Charity and community-service (e.g Cleaning streets, Political Awareness Campaigns , helping the poor in Slums …

*Participated in Kidmocracy in 2008 , IEARN( 2008-2010) and FIRST robotics league 2007 and 2008

Tell me your thoughts

How did you guys ask for recommendation letters??

@amrna

Your EC’s are good.
You should include whatever you think will help your chances of admittance.
I don’t know what else you could do (sport, music, perhaps another presidency for a club). Honestly what you have looks good :D

@College,

I walked up to them said “Hey (insert teacher name here), can you write my rec?” I wait for a yes, then I hand them my resume (list of club activities, offices held, awesome things I’ve done that make me awesome). I thanks them like crazy, and then I walk away. lolz. Simple

Thanks so much for the quick reply and support

No problem ^_^.

lolz, but i’m just a fellow senior, so anything I say is just my opinion.

@armnabmans

So you were a president of a Suzan Mubarak team or whatever and then you supported the revolution :S !!
And one more thing , Seriouslly , you’re gonna vote for Barada’e ?? That man sucks .

Anyway , I think your EC’s are good if you’d like to major in political science or so . What are you thinking about ??
And try to get some community service hours and try to increase thoose EC’s . You’re applying to Stanford yale … Etc … And these schools are really competitive . People who apply there have more EC’s than these , your’s are not that enough honestly .

But remember that’s just my opinion , iam an international rising senior .

P.S : Iam Syrian BTW , we are following you :p

What even goes on the resume? I thought everything is already covered on the Common App. My friend who got accepted into MIT said that you don’t attach your resume to your application; you just bring it to your interviews. Honestly, he seems to make sense. I list my honors, ECs, and work experience of the Common app; what more could I say that I would need to attach it to my resume?

I am applying ED to Northwestern University and I am going to explode if I have to wait any longer to start working on the Common App and supplement. I’ve written two practice essays, drawn up a resume which I keep adding more too, and have been getting tutored on the ACT in my spare time. I am so eager to start my senior year and keep myself busy until the admission letters start rolling in. Reading these threads is making me 100x more nervous but I can’t help it haha I am addicted. Good luck to all of you!

^^My resume was primarily made for my teachers doing recs and my interviews. But for the Common App, attaching it to additional information may be useful as well.
