<p>anyone else flipping out now? i'm getting extremely nervous b/c i can't access my status check page right now...it says it's unavailable. plus, i thought that i got my application out on time, but i guess i forgot to send part one of the common app, so i submitted it a month after the deadline (i was never contacted to say they didn't receive it). GAH!!!</p>

<p>FYI last year my S's acceptance letter was mailed 3/22 and received 3/24. I won't tell you what it looked like but you could clearly tell it was an acceptance!</p>
<p>on the application status page it says that they try to get the letter to you before the decision is posted online....so if you haven't got a letter in the mail then it probably won't be online yet either.</p>

<p>i think officially it's april 15th but i remember reading somehwere it will most likely be towards the end of march/beginning of april</p>
<p>ahhh April 15th is waaaayyyy too far away. I really hope its closer to the end of March. For most schools you have to give them your final decision by May 1st, and not getting your decision till April 15 would not give you very long to make a decision.</p>

<p>i'm pretty sure it'll be sometime in march early april. one other school i applied to also has april 15th at the latest and it's the furthest from where i live so it'd be hard to visit if i found out then. luckily i have a break 3rd week in april that i can visit the colleges i get into to help me with my final decision</p>
<p>cmu has the latest decision date out of my schools... i probably shouldn't be spazzing about it yet with the ivy league release date nearing.</p>

<p>Mail takes about 5 days between Pittsburgh and Chicago (door to door), so... if they send the mail on the 20th (which is a very likely date), you should start looking around the 22nd.</p>
<p>As noted earlier, last year letter was mailed 3/22 and arrived 3/24 - in Chicago suburbs!</p>
<p>Mail takes forever to get to Houston, but I dont' remember when mine came (except that I think it was a Saturday...). CMU's mail is a mess, Houston's mail is a mess, and it's a longish distance.</p>
