Could I get an 11 if i only used 2 examples and was 3-5 lines off from filling both pages?

^ Yes, definitely. Your score simply depends on how your readers perceived your essay. There are no paragraph/example restrictions or requirements. People have gotten 12s with one example and 1.5 pages and 10s with three examples and 2 pages.

^ u could Uchalpz1, I really want an 11+!!!

Only 9 more hours

Hoping that I improved my math a little. I feel like a beggar, “Anything will help, even 10 or 20 points would be much appreciated kind sir”. Let’s hope for 660 to 660+ haha. I’d even take 661 if that could happen

SO nervous. Could barely eat dinner tonight.

Felt like I had a mouthful of terrible scores in my mouth and no water with which to wash them down XD

Praying for an 800 on Writing…God at 5AM tomorrow morning I’m going to leap out of my bed like a bat out of hell and check my score status.
Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh. refreshes college board website for no particular reason of value other than to further self-torture

I would kill for a 2200, but sadly I will probably fall short. I’m just really scared because I feel like many merit scholarships at top schools all have kids with 2200+ and I would like to compete for one.

"You can argue that a higher Critical Reading score is more impressive than a higher Writing score, but claiming that they don’t even consider it is extreme. "

How is it extreme if a school flat out says they don’t take it into consideration? I know BC and maybe UChicago don’t and many others.

Most of my top schools say explicitly they don’t look at writing.

I think the thing at large is that if you’re aiming for a high composite score you need to clutch deliver on the Writing section, regardless of if your dream college is actually going to look at your Writing score breakdown.

Yea i agree with HaveYouMetTed, the financial situation out there is really scary right now, and if I get 2200+, I have good chances of a scholarship to my top choice. I am so nervous… I hope I do well in the SAT.

ANXIOUS AF!!

I’m dying to know. I wish they came out at midnight!

What time does the act come out compared to the sat?

@cjswe516 because he said the “overwhelming majority don’t even consider it.” I would consider that on the extreme side. Anyway, hopefully we all do well enough that no one has to worry about it!

How do we know they’re coming out at 5EST? Is that just based off of past experience, or official confirmation from college board?

SO CLOSE! Yet so far…

This thread is making me nervous, even though I shouldn’t be.

@Studious
Thanks! I’m hoping for a high score, but I’m taking it again in January no matter what I get (missed too many math questions :P). Technically I don’t need my score until 2013, so I’m not pressed for time or anything. (Although that might be a mixed blessing. Junior year is pretty stressful, and if the workload doesn’t kill me the SAT prep will.)

I’m assuming this will be your last time taking it?

On a related note, have you taken any SAT subject tests yet? I still need 2. Eeek.

My not so bold prediction: I get the lowest score on this thread:P

I think I’m about to have the ****tiest 2300 possible. 800 CR and W and 700 in math

@catch: Yes, my hope is that I won’t have to take it again. As for Subject Tests, I’ve gotten 800s on Math 2 and Bio-M (took them in May and June of my sophomore year, respectively). I plan to take Chem and US in the spring. In my opinion, Subject Tests are much less stressful than the SAT I and aren’t very hard to ace (with the notable exception of Lit). Good luck!
