yes they came out earlier. 2am or 3am eastern time

yale scea

they come* out

ib612 - seriously?? Our whole lives depend on whether or not we get into one of the HYPSM schools, and our SAT scores determine that? There are 27,000 high schools in the United States, so there are 27,000 valedictorians, 27,000 salutatorians, and 27,000 student council presidents, and 700 students with perfect SAT scores, all who think that they are qualified to go to a HYPSM school. Hellooo, those schools only admit about 1700 students. You can survive if you don’t go to a HYPSM school. Joe Biden is the vice president and he went to gasp STATE SCHOOL! And he still managed to be extremely successful! But my mom’s friend’s daughter went to Columbia and is unemployed…so actually, you can be successful if you don’t go to one of the HYPSM schools. This is not a socialist society, nor is it the 1200s. We are not locked into a “social class” based on where we go to college. I personally would go to the University of Michigan or Penn State over any of those schools any day, and my lowest practice test could get me into Harvard. I doubt that I’m going to be a societal loser if I go somewhere that excels in my major and I would be very happy at.

^there is something utterly wrong in your argument with your mom’s friend’s sister going to columbia: it’s not a HYPSM school.

i like cucumbers
5 hrs

But it’s an Ivy.

heh, only senior member posting here

^well, you’re special:)

there arn’t that many senior members here

Going to sleep now. See you guys on the other side!

But it’s an Ivy

But it’s a lower ivy.

Wow, everyone is really taking my post out of proportion. Simply put, a higher SAT score gives you a greater chance of being accepted to an elite school. Typically, those who go to an elite school have a greater propensity to form the upper crust of society. There are always exceptions, like a Harvard grad who’s a bum and a Fortune 500 CEO who didn’t graduate college–but the statement still stands.

for those who claim the scores will come out 2 am eastern, where is your proof?

haha i met a harvard grad who called himself a professional bum…

Um, I don’t think it comes out at 2 am eastern. there is no proof.

2am PST, 5am EST

Scores come out earlier a lot often. usually at 2 0r 3 am.

^^ waiting for results for the third time

oh and i dont want to seewhat i got on sat… to nerve racking

Okay, I usually stay out of these arguments, but I’m bored and it’s late.

Where I live, plenty of people graduated from Ivies. They are doing the exact same jobs as everyone else in my town. Many of the women are also stay-at-home moms. I have two friends who graduated from Brown last year who have yet to get a job, although they are extremely qualified. A top school is no guarentee, it’s really what you make of it. Yes, it is harder to get to the top if you went to a state school perhaps, but seriously, the smart/savvy people really do drift up in the end.
