5 hours left to go

brown is different from HYPS…
i’m applying to brown…
and i realize that i will probably not get any big fancy job on wall street or anything like that
harvard and yale specifically are where the real connections are
once you go below that the impact becomes much smaller

for example…a relative of mine was a history major at yale and got a job at goldman sachs even though the relative knew nothing about finance

Question: how in our society do we denote success? Is it through monetary gain? Prestige? Emotional fulfillment? Contribution to society?

Only after defining this premise can we begin to discuss what college will lead to the greatest amount of success.

You guys need lives!!! I don’t care what, but none of you are getting into hymps if you are soo boringly grade grubby like this!!!

Go play xbox, eat muffins, drink tea. Just do something!!!

^ last 2 and a little money. Enough to achieve the last 2

yea but HALO ODST sucks.

^^ I agree. Go get laid.

I n

I am waiting for AC 2 and COD MW 2. nd yes thanks i will take your advice as well

yeah, but I think HYPS specifically look for people who have big goals and big dreams, who will one day be successful because of who they are as individuals. These people will be the leaders of society no matter where they end up going to college. In other words, it’s the people that makes the college, not necessarily the other way around. It’s not just because you attend a good school that you become successful; it’s because something in you indicate that you will be successful that you get admitted at certain competitive colleges.

QuantumArbiter, we are not grade grubby, at least i hope not. we are just bored/over-excited/nervous/depressed as we wait for the SAT scores to come out. besides, for me it’s like 12:30 am in the morning. even if i do play xbox, why would i do that right now?

You guys play xbox?!

I thought I was the only no lifer here. Well, that’s because I’m a 50 in halo and 55 10th prestige in COD4. Anyone with me?

I’m just up here to see when the scores come out. I have a bad feeling towards this test I did an estimation and the scores aren’t pretty.

no, lol, it’s just you. I was speaking hypothetically.

I think that college is an important factor on how successful one will become, but it’s not the most important, character is. I know a lot of wealthy people who tell me they are impressed if the see a degree from harvard but that they wouldn’t hire them if they are not hungry for success. You have to be hungry to succeed. I think all of us here are hungry :)

HALO is a over rated game. COD, Gears of war, Assassin Creed (waiting for the second part), GTA

Yea… College is important. PERIOD. It isn’t 100% of life, but it is a big part.

I hate people who go to two extremes.

College is the msot important thing ever. I need it to live a good life

HYPSM is overrated. Damn those elitist colleges and their deceiving prestige

Get a hold on yourselves

anyone just like mario or is that just me?

^amen

I agree with Djokovic. ^)

haha i love mario and contra.

yea like these new war games are way too complicated for me. I like contra

I play xbox! I like guitar hero! But that’s as xboxy as I get

4 and a half more hours?
