Couple Inquiries About the Application

Hey guys,

Copying and pasting all of my essays into CommonApp today, and I ran into a couple problems:

One, for the Brown supplement, I pasted one of my essays into the window, and it says there are 7 characters left. Okay, great. It's a 1000 character limit, I have 993. But when I hit print preview of the entire supplement, the last two lines are cut off in the PDF. This doesn't happen with the other essay I copied and pasted in the other box, nor does it happen with the two documents I actually had to upload to the supplement as .doc files. Anyone know why this is? They'll be able to read everything, right?

Second, is there any way to mark a supplement as being completed? Is the supplement supposed to recognize when all required fields are filled in? It's just bothering me that there isn't a green triangle next to the supplements I've finished. :)

Thanks!

The preview is accurate - character count is not. Different letters, spaces and punctuation marks take up different amounts of space. So, character count is not an exact reflection of the amount of space used in a field. You need to preview your responses to be sure they can be fully viewed and shorten your essay to fit the preview space.

The supp isn’t complete until you submit it.
