Couple of questions about UPENN/Wharton...

Hey guys, first time poster here so apologies if I am posting this in the wrong section. I have a couple of questions regarding admissions into UPENN or more specifically, Wharton which is the school I hope to go to

Just some context here... I live in Singapore and I am due to graduate in November 2015 after which, I have to serve National Service for 2 years in Singapore which is mandatory for all male citizens. I plan to take the SAT reasoning test in January 2014.

What I am wondering is whether I can still use whatever score I gain from that test when I eventually apply ED Wharton after I finish my National Service in 2017 which will be a solid 3 years after the test?

Also wondering if its possible to apply in 2015 right after I graduate and if I get in, tell Wharton or UPENN that I can only come in 2017 due to National Service commitments?

Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks :)

You can use any score, I don’t believe there are any restrictions on when you took the test.

Good luck in your service.

Wonderful! Thanks buddy  … I heard there were some restrictions on the tests but wasn’t sure and I found no mention of it all on the UPENN website

Rather do it sooner and get it over and done with rather than having to do it during national service which will be a right pain in the ass

Does anyone know anything about the admission deferral questions?

Scores are usually valid for about 5 years, so 2014-2017 shouldn’t be an issue

Thanks mate. Would be pretty ■■■■■■■■ if I do well in January but have to redo just because he scores aren’t valid

Why not ITE? ;)
