Who can I call to ask a couple questions about the scholarship I was offered? Finaid office didn’t help too much…

Whats the name of the LIRR station on campus?

Are all the freshmen going to be tripled next year?

Any way I can make sure I get a good orientation date?

If you get labeled as having “priority registration” for more than one thing, does that have any effect? (Like, maybe super-priority registration?) And does priority registration really mean much anyway?

All the scholarships go through the Financial Aid office... if you have specific questions, let me know via PM or e-mail and I'll try to get them answered for you.

Stony Brook. :)

"All"? No. "A lot"? Probably, but we're adding 150 beds in January and 300 more in Fall '08, so that will alleviate it somewhat.

Deposit early AND fill out your New Student Preferences form. Orientation dates are assigned in order of deposit when the forms are complete, so the sooner you deposit, the earlier your date.

Priority registration is nice, because classes do fill up. The earlier you register with other students who are in the same undergrad class as you, the better off you'll be. It'll matter less and less the further along you get towards your degree, as classes get smaller, but a lot more specific; but any time you can get an edge, take it.
