Course decision help?

I thought my schedule for junior year would be this:

AP Calc
AP Bio
AP USH
AP Enviro
Honors English lang & comp
Spanish III

But I found out today that I was chosen to be one of the few students for AP English and my English teacher is recommending me to take the class. But I don't want to be overloaded work from 5 AP's. I heard that AP English is a better ap course to take then ap enviro because colleges look at it better? I am a solid writer and equally confident in both english and science, should I drop ap enviro and take ap eng, or forget ap eng and just take enviro, or take both? Do colleges prefer to see ap eng over ap enviro?

Since you already have a science so similar to AP Enviro (Bio), then maybe you should up your English course to AP and just drop Enviro, especially if you don't think you can handle 5 APs.

agreed.

do you have a class in mind to replace ap enviro?

AP English looks much better than AP Enviro.

I plan to major in bio/math though, would ap eng still look better? If I decide to take ap eng, then I can replace ap enviro with honors physiology (which is another bio science class)

That sounds good to me. It shows that you're an all-around type of person, which is a good thing even if you want to major in biology. It's still honors.

AP English is a VERY good class to take for college no matter what your major. You need to know how to write very good essays and AP English helps with that.

I would certainly have more time for ECs if I take ap enviro instead of ap eng since i heard ap eng is harder than ap enviro, so sunshine, you think it will be better for me to take ap eng instead?

AP english is ALOT harder than AP Enviro. It will clear up some time for ECs but colleges look more at grades and courses than ECs.

Thanks. I guess I will take AP eng. But I have very few ECs right now :(

AP Lang is going to be awesome! To heck with Enviro! :)

You don't need a lot of EC's--just pick a few to really devote yourself to. And you can always do things over the summer/on weekends as well.
I agree with romani, grades/courses are a lot more important.
