schedule advice (math/science..enviro?)

I'm a junior this year, and I was planning to take Calc BC + physics AP. However, there is only one period for each, and they coincide. For science so far, I've taken:

Bio honors
Chem honors
chem AP (got a 5)

I've heard that colleges look at enviro as a joke class. However, it would be my alternative to AP physics (so I can stay in calc BC). I would take physics AP next year as a senior. Will taking enviro AP junior year be a significant negative for admissions to top schools (Ivy leagues). I can possibly take AP bio, but I've already taken bio honors, and would like to have some variety. Thanks for any help / advice.

do you not have bio AP? it would be the smarter choice if its available. environ is suppose to be biology-ecology if you look through the ap thread.

I think I might be able to take bio AP…

But I already had bio honors, and would like some variety. Would the colleges look at my 5 on AP chem as evidence that I have the potential to handle college-level material?

I will have physics AP on my senior schedule when I apply next year…I just don’t know whether AP enviro this year will be looked at as a slacker class.

I would want both AP Calc BC and AP Physics C results to show colleges.

If you have taken a non AP Physics before, you can try self studying it. I did that (My Honors Physics class from the prior year, just required me to understand how to do calc based physics and a lot more in depth E&M)

If you take AP Environment and self study Physics and get 5’s on all tests (thats 4 tests) that would look good.

If you don’t want to self study, I would do AP Bio and AP Calc.

personally…i would scratch ap physics. if you’re not looking at an engineering/math/some other science major where its needed than dont take it.
