Course Description Guide

I thought that NYU might send out a course description guide by mail so we could try to figure out what classes we'd like to take before orientation. Is there a course description guide (for CAS) online or something? I'd like to read a description of classes before orientation. If not, do we receive them at orientation on the first day? I'm kinda scared that I won't have enough time to look through the booklet before I start registering. Also, I've seen the Course Evaluation Guide online, but is there a listing yet of which professors are teaching courses for fall? I've seen which teachers have taught it recently- is it safe to assume that they'll most likely teach that same course again this fall? Thanks

we got all that information the first day of orientation. (a listing of courses, but only descriptions for the map courses, although you can see the professor for all classes if it's already assigned.) plus, the people at orientation are very helpful with all the information, and there's not too much room to play around with your schedule (esp. due to closed classes), so don't worry too much.

how are you suppose to take the courses you want, if they are closed before you get there?

They won't be closed before you get there. NYU reserves a number of spots in the classes for each orientation so the registration process is somewhat more fair. It depends on when your particular group registers during orientation. You get a booklet full of course names and the times/professors on the first day. No course descriptions, but the titles are pretty self-explanatory. Also, like someone above said, all the leaders and advisors are extremely helpful.
