COURSE Question for U Penn

I am a rising Senior planning on taking Pre-Calc. A (Honors Accelerated). My middle school did not offer an accelerated math program... I am very interested in U Penn and some other top schools but someone (a college counselor) has told me that since I am not in Calc, it would be hard to get in. My other stats are pretty good. I made a post about that already, but to sum it up:
(all A's and A-'s)
-5 on AP World
-I don't know my GPA or ranking because my school does not do those things...
-100 hours community service so far
-good EC's
-Also had some pretty bad medical issues during my high school career and that is why I got a bunch of A-'s sophomore year.

My Question is, if as of now, I have decent stats for an U Penn and really love the school, with the sole reason of not being in calc make it impossible to get it? Should I try to take a math course over the summer??
Thanks for any help.

I believe Wharton and SEAS require Calculus taken in high school. So depending on which school you are applying, you may need to have taken Calculus.

“For example, the Wharton School requires that applicants have taken Calculus. Penn Engineering requires that applicants have taken Calculus and Physics.”

From the Penn website: [Penn Admissions: High School Preparation](http://www.admissions.upenn.edu/applying/hsprep.php)

It depends on where you’re applying. I believe they make exceptions for those that don’t have those courses offered at their school, but I’m not sure. Does you HS offer calculus? If they do, it would be kind of expected that you take the highest math classes to be competitive.
