Course selection for Pre-med major?

I'm an incoming freshman at Yale and I'm wondering if they have a set course requirement for the Pre-med major? I know you have to take at least 2 chemistry (1 organic, 1 in-organic), some math courses (linear algebra and calculus), and what about history, physics, languages, or philosophY? Does anyone have a link on the yale website that tells these specific details?

Thanks

First of all there is no pre-med major at Yale. Now that we have cleared that hurdle I can answer your question. Students who wish to enter medical school may major in any subject s/he so choose as long as they fulfill the pre-med requirements and take the MCATS. The requirements include: 2 year long chemistry courses with laboratory (one of which must be general or physical and the other organic). Note that if you take 118 (which is only one semester) at Yale you must take 252 to fulfill the general requirement or the 338 physical chemistry sequence. One full year of Biology (2 courses at Yale) with laboratory and 1 full year of Mathematics (usually calculus I or II and statistics) and 1 full year of physics. Additional you must take one full year of a writing intensive English course. It must be from the English department. The much more thorough explanation can be found in your freshman handbook and/or the Yale Pre-Med Facebook group if you have a Facebook. Also check out the pre-med forum here on CC for great advice and what not.
