My school doesn't offer AP courses, and due to a somewhat ridiculous placement system that selects students for the high school Advanced track in the fall of 7TH grade, I'm stuck in the normal Math track (with no way out until next year. Believe me, I've tried), which is Algebra II/Trigonometry. Next year I'll have to take PreCalculus and then Calculus I. My question is whether or not Calculus is on the Math II. If so, can the calculus necessary be learned efficiently through independant study (Math II review books) or does one require a year of the course beforehand?

There is no calc on the math 2C test. I think it goes up to pre calc, though most of it is just algebra 2. Just get a prep book and study it

It does not go further than trig/precalc. However, this statement also depends on how far one's precalc class goes in the material. For instance, there can be a question on limits, which is something that I only learned at the beginning of ap calc.

However, it seems that the information that may not be coverned in precalc is so small and easy to learn that a prep book definetly prepares one for anything on the test. I really liked Princeton's Review.

You should be prepared after a proper precal course.

Algebra 2 and possibly a little bit of trig, but it is not hard trig, just your basic formulas

A precalculus course will definitely suffice.
