CPA and MBA

How strong is a job applicant that has both a CPA certificate and an MBA? Is this a big help in getting a job? Or is it still really based more on connections than education? Is one better than the other?

This is mostly for jobs in financial operations and the like.

More professional degree will always help you. It will never hurt you. But only get MBA when you need it, like when you've reached the limit and cannot get any more promotion without MBA, that's when you get it. CPA, on the other hand, will be a powerful title for boosting your credential in your knowledge of financial and accounting matters.

It certainly wouldn't hurt, but I see little reason for a CPA to get an MBA unless they want to switch careers.

My concern is that CPAs are really limited in what they can do. I would love to have a job in operations management in a company, but it doesn't seem as though a CPA would be qualified for that.
