CR and W strategies for OCT SAT

ok so i didn't do too well on the SAT the last two times
i studied some stuff this summer and i was wondering what i should do?
CR: 540 twice
-reading pride and prejudice
-studying very little vocab 300 so far
W: 610 and 530
-do writing questions with plenty of review
-looking through the writing error rules section in the Barrons

i haven't done writing and CR secitons in a while : i mean testing
so ill test this weekend and let u all know k?
i just want to know what i should be doing? reading passage from the Blue Book maybe? or reading some challenging literature and analyzing it?
My friends tell me to cram vocab like insanely...?
and what about writing? i mean im doing A LOT better on the writing after the summer and i really hope i can get 700 +.
i think if i score a 2000 something i have hope or else im going to...well i don't know what because im really running out of time here...
my highest scores are
M:730
W: 610
CR:540

You can first start by slapping your friend, blinding memorizing vocabulary won't help you. Secondly, you have to make sure you understand what you are reading. Most people have trouble because they read, but they don't understand. Once you understand, the answers will be conspicuous. Not to offend you, but reading random news reports and research papers will help you more than reading P and J. Why? Because P and J is one story; it has a exposition, a body, and a denouement. CR passages aren't like that; they are excerpts, random paragraphs extracted from some of the most boring things.

For Writing, the first thing you need to do is learn all the rules. Have them down cold. After you learn the rules, practice, practice, practice!

My score range is around the same as yours...around 700s in math 600s in writing and 500s in CR. My target score is 2000+ as well and I'm also taking sat in oct so we have really LITTLE TIME!!!!
