In middle school some kid did a false bomb threat to get out of a test. Don't know what happened to him.

Once one dude set off fireworks in the stairwell at my middle school. That was amusing.

Oh, and 2 girls from my current school (catholic, all-girls) were kicked out for lesbian activity. How on earth could that have been a shock to anyone? Good lordie.

something like 11 kids got expelled in one day for drugs

Two kids got suspended for making a bong in ceramics. As if they didn't think anybody would notice when they put it on the shelf with the bowls and plates and teapots.

At my school, some kid transferred in after midterms after getting kicked out of his other school (don't know why), and he ended up starting this "kill list" with thirty sophomores' names on it... he got expelled when one of the janitors found it.

One middle schooler at my school put a teacher on his 'kill list' on myspace and got suspended and left/got expelled. Either way, he ain't coming back.

Are schools allowed to discipline you for things you do entirely outside school?

^yep, just like the post above you
when i was in 7th grade an 8th grader got suspended for "pleasuring himself in class" xD

this is like a "high school stories: scandals, pranks, and controversies" thread but better

if kids at my school fail for the year, they usually have only the next year's first marking period to pass all of his (all guy's school) classes. otherwise, the school "asks" the guy to leave.

last year, soph year, a classmate set off a stink bomb in the cafeteria. my friends and i thought that somebody took a dump in the vent system. the dean said that the smell was coming from my table, but my friend found the broken piece of glass it came from in a table next to mine. kinda cool because everybody in the lunchroom that period missed half of the next period.

lol some of these are intense :O

I only know the honors kids at my school. Most of the suspensions/expulsions happen in college prep level classes. The most that’ll happen with the honors kids is suspensions due to drugs or alcohol.

My freshman year, some 50-year-old woman came into my school and started this huge fight. It was like 30 against 1. Like 20 kids got expelled for “riot action”, and the woman got arrested.

In the 7th (8th?) grade, this guy gave all the teachers chocolate laxatives, soo he was suspended.

lol at these.

There was a fight in 7th grade between two guys. The principal started walking and one oblivious girl yelled “WHAT THE **** ARE YOU DOING? KEEP FIGHTING!”. Our lovely principal happened to hear that. Needless to say, she got suspended lol.

7th grade: These two guys started a fire in the bathroom about twenty minutes after we had a fire drill. One came back about a year later, and I have no idea what happened to the other (though he was an ‘advanced’ kid, so it was kind of strange).

10th-ish grade: For some reason, whenever there are fights at my school I miss them, so I heard about this one from my freshman cousin. It was tragic, actually; my cousin said she saw this shouting crowd gathered around these two girls (fighting about a guy, no less) and this one girl was totally bashing the other–Girl #2 was only fighting back out of self-defense. No one in the crowd called for help–a teacher had to walk by and see the whole thing–and some kids had their cellphones out just recording the whole thing. It made her (my cousin) really sick.

last year we had a report of a gun threat and they called in the SWAT team.

they were good. they walked right by my classroom and nobody noticed.

Eh, a couple people expelled/suspended for plagiarism/cheating/drinking/pot. nothing crazy, it’s a boarding school in new england. people have sex on the fields and smoke pot/drink in the woods, and people are rarely caught [unless they show up wasted to a dance or smoke pot in their room and act like idiots].

Some sophomores got completely wasted before the last dance of the year. One was throwing up and passed out in his room. A senior found him and rolled him onto his side. They were all breathalized in the health center. Only one [well known for his exploits and already on probation] wasn’t drunk. The rest had a meeting with the disciplinary committee [which is composed of students and faculty] and were suspended and put on probation, among other things. The dorm that most of them were in [which has had many incidents prior to this, not to mention weed found in the toilets/alcohol bottles found in the recycling etc.] was put on lockdown for the lsat 2 weeks of the year. No one who didn’t live there could go in, no one who lived there could sleep over at another dorm or go to another student’s house, and they couldn’t go to town without permission from the dorm head. everyone in the dorm…

no fights or anything though.

2 guys were fighting in the lunchroom… yea my school is full of wannabe gangsters

One kid pooped in another kid’s backpack. That was bad.

oh my god! Why would you do that?
