Crazy teachers and policies

oh
i live in the suburbs so...why the hell do we need cards?!
but then again..it's a pretty crowded suburb

about ID policies-
My school tried to enforce their ID policy last year. They bought these ID scanner things for tardies and if you are late to class, you have to go and find an AP with one. If you find one and aren't "visibly wearing your id" when you find one, they give you a tardy and an id violation (meaning one detention in less than five minutes).

Also, when they first tried to start enforcing ids last year, they called over the intercom to send all people not wearing an id to the cafeteria. Suddenly, there were three of us left in my Chem Honors class. During the next class period, they call over the intercom that they are sending back everyone from the cafeteria and that they weren't expecting 1500 students without ids (in a school of 2000). Then they did it by grades, and did over the course of a week (seniors one day, juniors the next day, etc) which gave the underclassmen a few extra days to fake their ids or get a new one. I know I used my sister's old id because I refused to spend $5 to buy a new one just because they randomly decided to enforce the policy. Within a month, the same number of students weren't wearing their ids anyways.

lmao
so funny how schools think kids will fix something they hate just because they don't want to get in trouble

One time, after lunch when i got to go home (i have 6th off) i went out to the student parking lot and there was this staff member in her go-kart inspecting I.D.s
I take mine out and show it to her and she's like "where's your schedule?"
and i'm like "what schedule?"
and she's like "the schedule you need to leave campus"
me - "i didn't know that...plus my dog ripped it up (and yes he ripped it up)"
her - "you're gonna have to come to the main office with me to verify your 6th off"
me - "what's the point? wouldn't we get in trouble anyways if we ditched school?"
her - "who would check on you guys?"
me - "uhh...whoever my 6th period teacher is?"
her - "oh...well, at any rate, i'm not allowed to let you guys go home"

so she takes my friend (who was also missing his schedule) and i to the main office to verify our off roll
but that's not where i think this is completely stupid
what's completely stupid is the fact that during our travel to the office and back, she probably missed 50 other kids who didn't have their schedule which makes me wonder why this school hires a crap load of staff even when we barely have any money to give them useless jobs that aren't even effective.
