Hello College Confidential I'm trying to establish a photography club and act as President at my Junior High(9th grade its my year). It has to start late though and I'm really bad at recruiting and if I do get some members it would be my first time in a position of authority(although the real leadar would be one of the school tutoris running it). How would you act as leadar if your peers interrupted or disrepected yr authority.
And would this be able to help set me apart from the thousands of students applying to
Stanford,Caltech,UC Berkley, and all those top tier schools
Yeah and one of my obstacles to creating the club is that its a little late for the students at my school(5-6 oe 4:30-5:30)

You may want to get some spelling.

That aside, you also need to check out your school’s process. Most clubs can get an announcement in the newspaper or the daily TV bulletin.

At my school you need 3 students and a teacher.

Probably not. Also, one of the reasons one may disrespect another’s leadership is if that other person’s heart is not in the club, as in we can tell that you only founded the club because you thought it would look nice on a resume, etc.

Actually I really like photography I was just curious and I’ll try to improve my spelling

Honestly I been dealing with some personal issues lately and well because of it I could n’t really have a passion. I love art and photography but how can I get them into my heart. Will it just take time, patience and hope.

If you’re worried that people won’t come, bring food to each meeting :]. It works every time.

Oh and xrCalico23 maybe you are right I shouldn’t really be doing things so I can go to an Ivy but I should I do what makes me happy Thank you for helping me realize that . Oh and my school is starting up its newspaper now so I was considering to make my club an affliate(because newspapers need photographer).
