<p>I'm currently a freshman in high school, and I've been working on programming and publishing an application in the Apple App Store. </p>
<p>Out of curiosity, would having a published app that people could download onto their iPhones/iPads be an impressive extracurricular for very selective colleges? I want to major in computer science and I'm also taking online classes and doing research in that area, so the app would be part of a general comp sci theme. </p>
<p>Thanks in advance for any help, and I'd also be very grateful for any other suggestions for computer science related extra curriculars. :)</p>
