i really want to be an english major with a concentration in creative writing. i want to be an author.

mcgill is my dream school. except for the fact that they don't have creative writing classes. does mcgill have a writing community? is it worth my time to go there if i can't really do creative writing?

mcgill is extremely academic. just remember that. of course there are newspapers and whatnot that you can submit to, and probably some kind of creative writing club you could join, but other than that if you’re in english, you’ll be in either literature, drama, or cultural studies.

You can take creative writing classes from Concordia down the block (a number of McGill English majors do, or so I hear), but remember that you can only transfer like 3 courses worth of credits from another university.
