credit/no credit question

so i'm taking a 1 unit fitness lab class at my college. is it really a big deal if i take it as cr/nocr? i've never used cr/nocr before sooo ;P thanks!

Not at all some grad schools however look at a credit/no credit class as a C but with it being only one unit it probably will have a very minute impact on your GPA. But for UCs it will be fine.

Does anyone know if you can take any IGETC classes CR/NCR?

Apparently you are allowed to take 14 semester units as CR/NC for IGETC, but I'd strongly advise you not to. Taking all transferable classes for a letter grade gives you a much more competitive application.

i think if taking my class cr/ncr saves me from getting any poor grades it would benefit me to do so. plus i had my transcript reviewed in berkeley workshop and they told me they don't mind a couple cr/ncr.

I spoke to a Berkeley rep regarding cr/ncr and she said it was not a problem at all. You can't take cr/ncr for major prerequisites though.

I've thought about taking low-unit classes as P/NP as well, but some of them are actually UC-transferable and they're really easy (like PE classes were attendance is the grade), so may as well take it to boost your GPA a bit!
