Credits per class?

I earned 27 credits for AP tests and i was wondering how many credits one class will get you. I want to see how much those damn tests were really worth haha

Anywhere between 1 and 4. Don’t believe the credits from AP tests for one minute though, many of them apply to multiple classes and artificially inflate how many credits you have. I came in with 63 credits from AP, and that only got me out of a few classes.

somewhere on your cal poly portal it says what classes you don’t have to take because of AP credits and they are kind of useful. I know there’s another place where you can check but the cal poly portal one is specific to your scores and it actually says the classes. I don’t have to take 8 classes (32 units) and i have a total of 81 credits from AP tests >.<.

ahh k thanks

Somewhere either in the catalog or online at the Registrar’s Office, there’s a list of all AP courses and how they count toward CP credits. If the AP class counts toward a CP class, then go to your major and see if your AP class counts toward your major. AP classes can count as CP credit but not necessarily toward your degree. No matter whether the AP class counts or not, I would think the AP credits still look good for the college admission process.
