I’ve received a full ride to both of these Midwestern, Jesuit universities and I wanted to know which one I should attend. I plan on majoring in finance and studying law after. I am also from the Midwest so there won’t be much of a cultural or environmental difference from either.
All things considered, which university is better and why?
Both schools are very similar, but at Marquette it will be easier to get recruited by Chicago area firms. Since Chicago is by far the largest job market for college graduates and the center for business and finance in the Midwest, Marquette will be a better choice.
Congrats! I would view these as peer institutions that can both get you where you want to go if you do well. I’d just pick the school that feels like the right fit.
Did you apply for/get admitted into the Honors program at either school? We were very impressed with Creighton’s Honors Program, and that would be a strong consideration if it were my decision.
Unfortunately, because my major is not through the College of Arts and Sciences, I couldn’t. I instead decided to apply for the Freshman Leadership Program at Creighton.
They are basically the same schools academics wise.
Law schools really only care about LSAT score (very important factor) and GPA. Thus, you should pick the school that you feel you would perform the best at/succeed.
