so if you don’t want to hear crime does indeed happen EVERYWHERE,what are you willing to hear? Villanova is a very safe campus in a very safe area, this is a fact

Having grown up in the area and having worked nearby campus for years, I can speak with some authority on this. Villanova has a long standing issues with drugs, sexual violence, and alcohol abuse. Petty crime is almost a non-issue.

hi i’m currently attending, there are tons of kids outside right now walking around and i have no doubt there will still be kids out til 5am. personally i’ve walked around just about every time of the day and have felt safe. there are very few places you can say that about but this is one of them. those things you point out we usually just get emails about. it just catches your attention cuz you’re looking for it? i mean, i didn’t ever hear about the shooting until a teacher mentioned it in class. it’s a suburban college. so if you think about it that way, not too much trouble happens in the suburbs unless you’re looking for it… does that make sense? oh and if at any time you don’t feel safe walking around by yourself and you’re not where you want to be, you can always call Public Safety and it’s very common for them to just drive over, pick you up, and bring you where you want to be.

you’re in the middle of one of the richest areas in Pennsylvania. There’s a Ferrari and Maserati dealer less than a mile down the road. Is it safe? Of course. Never felt that I was not safe. Just last night walked from opposite ends of campus, West Campus (for the Juniors) to South Campus (for the freshmen) at about 2 a.m. Took the “Rape Trail” from Main to South (solely a funny name, no real occurrences) and lived to tell the tale. Safety is NOT a problem

I hate that Ferrari place. There used to be a head shop across the street - Gecko’s, I think - which sort of balanced out the vibe on that part of Lancaster Avenue.
