CR is by far my weakest subject. I'm averaging over 700 on both Math and Writing but I have yet to crack 700 on Critical Reading (average is around 650). Is there any advice because I miss a lot of questions on about the author's inferences.

I really hope this helps you. My strategy for it (another ccer pointed it out) is to first look over the questions and underline/ bracket around every line/lines mentioned. For example if a question says “in line 60 the dog was mentioned to…” I go back and underline line 60. If a question says “in lines 40-45 the purpose…” I bracket lines 40-45. After this, while reading, you can go to the questions as you get to your lines/brackets instead of waiting until the end. I was surprised to find that some questions have different answers in context to just where they are located and in context to the entire story. It really helps to answer as you go along. I hope this “trick” helps you!

I’ll try that. Thank you!
