Raise low 700'S Critical Reading to high 700's?

Hi everyone! :)

It seems as though Critical Reading is my weakest subject, as far as the SAT I goes. I can score between 730-770 Math, 740-800 Writing, and 700-740 Critical Reading :(.

I tend to score in the lower 700's (700/710) much more often than 740 or so for Critical Reading. On today's practice test I got 7 wrong and got a 700. About 2 mistakes are vocab, and the rest are passage.

What generally happens to me is that I get stuck between two answer choices. Knowing my luck, I end up picking the wrong answer and getting it wrong. On today's test, out of the 7 mistakes, I slapped myself for 3 of them. The answers were pretty obvious, yet I put the wrong answer as I rushed through the section. I can usually finish each section with 2 minutes or so to spare.

Can you guys recommend some suggestions on raising my CR? My main problem is getting stuck between 2 answers. I want to turn my 710's into 770+. Help would be appreciated!

It is not about luck, you get trapped by the test makers. Learn to see what kind of wrong answers are luring you in and then watch out for them.
It’s all about practice now… It seems you know everything but can’t apply the knowledge fast and accurate enough. So you will have to practice, practice and practice to improve your thinking speed.

Got it. I was also told that I should try to finish 3-5 minutes early to recheck answers carefully. Apparently when you’re stuck between 2 answer and you go back to the question later, the better answer is much more clear. I’ll give it a shot.
