Critical Reading December 2008 Test Version 2: Korean Mother, Nature, etc.

was the question regarding earth landmarks? if it were, then i think the answer was open sea.

^Yeah, open sea for landmarks.
It sucks I got the dark question wrong...

did anyone put "conservative" for traditional for one of the passages

sorry to bring this up again but i'm pretty sure the one with the avant-garde director was confound/commonplace.

the question was like:

(persons name)'s unconventional film techniques ____ the audience but to the avant-garde directors, the techniques were ____ .

clearly, the meaning was "awed/confused" the audience but the "high-tech" techniques were pretty common to directors who were of the cutting-edge...

it was almanac for landmarks... it stated it right after

i dont remember what i put, but i dont think it was almanacs.

it had to be, it stated almanacs right after... sometimes CB does that to you

I'd say it's pretty rare for CB to put a word that was stated explicitly in the passage into the answer.

Hm... how many do you think one can get wrong and still have an 800 in this particular test?

canned - math - 0 cr - 2 or 3 i think. not sure w- w. a 10 essay 1 i think.

even so, almanac was right

I think it was so they could navigate the open seas or something along the lines.

HEY. ANY of you remember the question to the "ALMANAC" One? And specifically, what answers? I don't remember any ALMANC answer....anyone feel free to elucidate...xs0itg0esx, what was the exact question?

but there was no evidence for that answer in the pasage... but they did tlk bout the almanacs (i think the questions was why they needed to use the stars or something like that)

Anybody else not have these passages at all (privacy, gardening, longitude)?

What was the SC answer that had prolific as one of the choices?

yea they owuld use it as a trick

u guys kkeeep saying almanac is wrong but u have provided no evidence against it

^ you have no real proof its almanac either other than saying you saw the word "almanac" a couple of lines later.

So the experimental sections are out - anyone know which passages were on the 6th section? (I had B&W #2 I think?)
