Critical Reading Situation

So basically I get a majority of the questions correct on the CR passages. If I get a question wrong I most likely didn't use the text to gather my evidence for the answer. When go over/grade my tests I realize the mistakes I made but while I am taking the test I can't seem to be careful. For example the question was "The concluding paragraph of each apssage makes use of which technique" I simply used my previously made judgements to get the answer which was wrong. I just have hard time using the text for support my answers. In the situation above I looked at the last two passages and realized that the choice I picked wasn't even close to being right. Sometimes when I am taking the test the choice I pick seems to make perfect sense then I when I look back while reviewing I think "how did I pick that answer" I go look at the text and realize the dumb mistakes I am making.

I know this is a weird situation anyone have any advice?

Refer back to the passage for every question that gives lines or any question that gives a specific paragraph… there’s no point in rushing an answer based on the context of the question. Base your answer off the context of the lines it is referring to.

Just look back at the text for those questions… you know what you’re doing wrong so you have to change your habits
