<p>I'm doing the first choice for the common app essay about going through and experience and its impact on me.............I have 521 words and need to get it down to 500 but I don't know what else to take out of it without it becoming too flat and boring. HELP!!!!!!</p>

<p>250-500 is not a permanent word limit; it is a guideline so that admissions won’t end up reading 10 page essays. 521 words is more than acceptable.</p>
