Cross Campus to Engineering

So I was accepted for the cross campus transfer from LSA to Engineering and have accepted the offer. As for re-registering as a CoE student, how soon should I do this? I'm told to take my UMID to the Registrar Office but I am unable to get to Ann Arbor probably until school starts. Also any suggestions on engineering classes that I should take?

If you can get in before the transfer students (from outside the University) then do so. If not, well, there’s nothing you can do about it then.

As for signing up for Engineering classes, you should be able to for most classes even if you aren’t already registered as an Engineering student. IOE I know you can’t, but EECS you should be able to. I think MechE is like EECS in this regard. I’m not sure about the rest.

Do you know what you want to major in?

what prereqs have you taken? what are you interested in? some classes like EECS 215 can be used for EE/ME/CE. Give us a little more details.

I have completed Math 115/116, Chem 130/125/126, Physics 140/141, ENGR 101, ENG 125. I am interested in MechE but am open to pretty much anything at this moment.

okay, if you’re set on ME, you can start taking ME250, and maybe throw in ME211 as well. Take calc 3 too. And if it’s not too much, you can take physics 240. physics 240 is not too important, so you can take it winter with calc 4. Plenty of flexibility there.
