<p>I just got an e-mail from SUNY Purchase outlining the financial aid awards that I had been given (unfortunately since my estimated contribution was about the same as the tuition, they only offered me loans). However, I haven't received an acceptance letter from them yet! A teacher who I played for at my audition told my current private teacher that she definitely thought I got in, but I haven't received anything on paper yet. Any thoughts? Would this indicate that I've gotten in? </p>
<p>Also, Purchase lost my transcripts a week before my audition, and only confirmed that they had received the new ones I had sent a week and a half ago. </p>

<p>Since you got a financial aid letter, it might be a reasonable assumption you’ve been accepted, but stranger things have happened. Follow up and get a confirmation one way or another I think UHartford or Hartt sent acceptance letters to a number of rejected applicants a few years back.</p>
<p>Good advice from violadad; Eastman mixed up acceptance and rejections a while ago, so things do go awry. You should call them tomorrow-many HS guidance offices let you use their phones for college-related matters at this time of year- or you could ask your counselor for help in contacting Purchase since this may require some time to sort out…</p>
<p>Thanks for the advice! I’m currently taking a gap year, so I can call Purchase during the day. Hopefully the issue isn’t anything too complex, but I’m in contact with my HS counselor so if I need help I think she would be willing to assist me.</p>
<p>lastroseofsummer, good luck! Also, at some schools the financial aid letter is different from the scholarship letter. So even if your EFC is the same as tuition, you still could be getting scholarship money.</p>

<p>I have already put down my enrollment deposit and housing and everything, so I am definitely going - maybe see you there in the fall, haha?</p>
<p>Yeah I’m weighing my options, but I really like Purchase! My close friend studies viola there and really likes it :)</p>
