I understand that scholarship offers from FSU College of Music come under separate cover from admissions and the admissions office indicates that they roll these out as department/college decisions are made up until about the first week of April.

Has anyone gotten an offer yet? I'm antsy since this information is important to the final decision and I am not the most patient person. There is no scholarship information at all on D's financial aid screen. Any information will be appreciated!

Thank you so much for your post. I am parent of accepted student and not understanding the financial aid status right now. My student is admitted into the College of Music via audition and I can’t see any money that reflects that!! Getting rather scared! Right now, I’m revisiting other school packages right now. I am waiting for Music Admissions to call me back.

I understand - the longer we go without hearing anything, the longer we have to more seriously consider the offers in hand.

Good luck and do post if you hear something!

I received an email today (same day response), from College of Music, giving me an overview of the scholarship package that was put in the mail to my student yesterday. Online scholarship status is also updated with an accept & reserve button (don’t know what reserve means!) Can you tell that I’m green!!!

Excellent news! Don’t know, but my guess is “reserve” is the same as accept. I know for the other scholarship offers we have they must be officially accepted. Thanks for sharing this - good luck in your next steps in this process.

My son received an offer letter the other day as well. I found it very odd how they sent multiple packages. One from admissions, one from financial aid and one from the college of music. It would be nice to get one sheet that shows "here’s now much tuition/room/board is, here’s now much the university is offering, how much the COM is offering, and the financial aid package… And this is what you would owe in the end. All on one sheet.

Don’t get me wrong. My son received an outstanding package (at least in our opinion), so I’m by no means complaining. It’s just that I’m by no means an expert at this and it gets mighty confusing.

Paid his admission deposit yesterday and registered for Orientation. He’ll be a 'nole!

Congratulations! We are getting a bit of a sinking feeling regarding a scholarship offer since we haven’t heard anything yet. FSU is her first choice but it will be tough to leave the other offers on the table. We will have to see how it all shakes out - thanks for sharing your decision with us!
