<p>Only one of the two M51A sections is open in the CS course listings, and the other section is open in the EE course listings. I know that the course is crosslisted, but as a CS major will URSA let me enroll in the open-to-EE-but-closed-to-CS section? (For the convenience of enrolling in whichever section better fits my schedule). Thanks in advance :)</p>

<p>Either class will allow you to enroll in it and receive credit for that requirement.</p>
<p>If you look under the “Enrollment Restrictions” section of the course on the registrar’s site ([Schedule</a> of Classes: Class Listing](<a href=“http://www.registrar.ucla.edu/schedule/subdet.aspx?srs=190048200&term=10F&session=]Schedule”>http://www.registrar.ucla.edu/schedule/subdet.aspx?srs=190048200&term=10F&session=)), it says “1. EE,CS,CS&E,CYBER,PRECYB UNDERGRADS.” CS is included in that restriction, so you’re good to go! :D</p>

<p>i ma wondering how are these two class in term of difficulty??? (say compare to cs31) some people told me that the ee version is harder… any hints??? thx</p>
<p>what? aren’t the two classes exactly the same, just with different names/professors?</p>
<p>i would imagine it’s not that bad if you get a decent professor (i had potkonjak and he was horrendous) since the material is mostly state diagrams and things of that nature which aren’t too insanely difficult to grasp</p>
